Earthworm Castings from Vierra's Worm Farm is easy to use too!

Simply mix a little castings with your soil at time of planting or use it as a top dressing the next time your plants need to be fed and fertilized.  Either way, one application lasts up to 3 months with no other plant food or fertilizer needed!

Indoors or outdoors, in the ground or in containers, earthworm castings from Vierra's Worm Farm is for your entire garden.  Naturally odor-free plus it will not burn a plant.

Vegetables & Annual Flowers
Line bottom and side of plant holes and seed furrows with 1-2 inches of earthworm castings.  Set seeds or plants in place and cover with soil.  Side dress during growing season at a rate of 1/2 cup per plant or 1 cup per linear foot once every 2 months

Perennials
Work 1/2 cup into the  soil above root zone taking care not to damage shallow roots.  Apply in Spring, early Summer and early Fall.

Re-potting Indoor Plants - Starting from Seed
Potting mix - use 1 part castings to 3 parts soil.

Established Potted Plants, Window Boxes or Hanging Baskets
Add 1/2 to 1 inch castings to top of soil.  Mix in, taking care not to damage shallow roots.  Water. repeat every 2 - 3 months.

Cacti, Succulents, African Violets
Potting mix - use 1 part earthworm castings to 3 parts soil.

New / Transplant Roses, Trees, Shrubs & Berries
Mix 1 part castings to 2 parts soil.  Surround newly dug hole with mixture.   Spread roots over a mound of mix in hole and cover.

Established Roses
Mix 4 cups of castings into soil 2 - 3 inches below surface of each rose bush.

New Lawns
After frost danger is past, apply 12 quarts (about 15 pounds) per 100 sq. ft.   Work 1 - 2 inches into the topsoil.  Mix in grass seed and keep moist until germination.

Established Lawns
Distribute as top dress 6 quarts (about 7 pounds) per 100 sq. ft.

Liquefied Manure
Soak 1 part castings in 2 parts water for at least 1 week.  Manure watering is excellent for fruiting, flowering & difficult to access potted plants.

Compost Piles
Spread a thin layer of worm manure between each layer of material to be composted.
